This year Remembrance Day marks 100 years since the end of World War 1. We learned about the importance of Remembrance Day and why we wear poppies. Three children from year 2 wrote about Remembrance Day brilliantly.
We have been learning about the Great Fire of London. We learned many important facts, in particular we learned about Samuel Pepys and his diary. We wrote in character, writing an eye- witness account of the fire. Here are Stephanie and Isaac’s fantastic diary entries… Can you imagine what it would have been like from their writing?
During ‘No Pen Day’ we went on a walk through Home Park in search of Autumn leaves. We were going to be using them to make hedgehogs. Below are some pictures of us hard at work creating our hedgehog masterpieces.
We were learning about our amazing bodies. some of us were brave and put ourselves forward for some blindfolded taste testing. We were learning about our 5 senses and this one focuses on taste.
We were tasting salty food… Crisps!

We were unlucky enough to be tasting something sour… Lemon!

We were the luckiest taste testers. We got to taste something nice and sweet… Chocolate!
