SCIENCE MUSEUM OVERNIGHT STAY
A fantastic overnight stay at the Science museum was had by all. The fun packed night included morse-code ( With our very own Euan playing the part of Morse complete with top hat and moustache!) and buzzer workshops, a Magnet and Forces show ( featuring Xia from class 5 in a magnetic battle on stage!) and an iPad work out in the new Communications Gallery with bedtime at 11.30. Up at 6am for a fantastic interactive session in the Launch Pad followed by a truly awesome 3D screening of ‘Mysteries of the Unseen World’. Did you know that we have more bacterial cells than human cells in our bodies?!
Many thanks to the staff who gave up their own time to accompany the children on this most enriching experience. These trips would not be possible without their generosity. It was nice to be thanked and told that we are doing a smashing job by some of the parents who collected their children on Saturday morning. Mrs. Barlow was also approached by teaching staff from four schools also in attendance to say how impressed they were with the behaviour of our children at Our Lady and St Philip Neri so well done to the children too. A special well done to Jose from class 4 who won a special prize for good behaviour which he received at the Saturday prize giving!
