Ballet Black @ the Infants

On Wednesday 20th April Ballet Black came into our school to run some workshops for our infant children.Ballet Black is a professional ballet company for international dancers of black and Asian descent. They aim to bring ballet to a more culturally diverse audience by celebrating black and Asian dancers in ballet. They perform and offer community driven classes for dancers and students, young and old. Their ultimate goal is to see a fundamental change in the number of black and Asian dancers in mainstream ballet companies, making that vision wonderfully unnecessary.

We would like to thank Emily Lamey for organising this wonderful opportunity for our children.

Ballet Black will be performing in their show ‘Dogs don’t do ballet’ in the Fairfield Halls on the 27th and 28th May. Please try and book tickets as it’s going to be a fantastic show!

Join Ballet Black for a magical performance based on the best-selling book by Anna Kemp and choreographed by Christopher Marney, full of fun, magic and one very special dog!
