The ladies from the Friends’ Association had a real challenge on their hands this morning. They had to pick the winners of the Easter Bonnet competition. There were two winners in Nursery and one from 2AJ. Congratulations to them and well done to all the children who took part!
Well done also to the winners of the Big Easter Raffle.
1st Prize Winner – The Large Chocolate Easter Bunny – Adi in 3VH
2nd Prize – Tickets to see the Harlem Globetrotters – Liam in RJM
3rd Prize – Luxury hamper – Paulina in 12IBB
Congratulations to the winners and thank you to everyone who bought tickets to support the school.
Thank you also to the Friends’ Association for organising an Easter Egg hunt for all of the children in the school. They had a great time hunting for eggs!
On Monday 5th December the EYFS at Our Lady and St Philip Neri performed their traditional nativity for all of their family and friends. The children worked so hard to learn all of their lines and songs and the teachers worked just as hard to support them. There were many tears shed as the children performed – we were all so proud of them!
For those of you who were unable to attend the performance, we have a video recording here for you to enjoy:
A huge thank you to everyone who came and supported our coffee morning. We managed to raise nearly £150 just at the infants. We hope you enjoyed your cakes and catch-ups!
Thank you also to the wonderful staff who helped organise the event and for donating all of the delicious cakes!
Rachael Ronan (Head of Infants)
On Tuesday 15th December 2015 the Infants gathered together to watch Tim Peake make his first trip to the International Space Station. Mrs Ronan led a very exciting assembly on Tim Peake. This was followed by everyone watching the launch itself. A very exciting real time event watched by all at the Infants. We tweeted a video to Tim Peak to wish him well. Good luck, Tim!
@tes: HERE’S YOUR CHANCE! Your class can ask @astro_timpeake a question – just use #CosmicClassroom. What would you ask? https://t.co/UtNp7U6cn0
Infant Party Day
The infants had a great day on Wednesday (16th Dec). They started their day at the Pantomime, followed by Christmas party food. After lunch the children enjoyed lots of party games and a visit from two special visitors! They ended their day with a school disco! We are sure the children slept well that night – the staff certainly did!!
Lest We Forget
They shall grow not old, as we that are left grow old.
Age shall not weary them, nor the years condemn.
At the going down of the sun and in the morning,
we will remember them.
At the Infants Mr Ringham held a special assembly on Remembrance. We then held a two minutes silence in the playground at 11am to remember all the men and women who have died in wars.
