Class Ten – 2013/14

As a class activity we were asked to write poems for peace as part of the Jimmy Mizen Foundation, which visited our outstanding school on Friday 11th July.  Here are some of our poems.

Peace for our World

The day peace will rule our world,
Happiness will be fulfilled,
Nightmares and all darkness disappeared,
Joy and laughter music to my ears,
That will be the day when there is peace for our world.

Countries unite with smiling faces,
No enemies at war with blood and fear,
Not any differences between anyone,
Sadness, pain and guilt have been conquered,
That will be the day when there is peace for our world.

Pollution and poverty is our world,
Tears and greed are peoples lives,
No luck and frowns are all around,
Peace and goodness, will our world ever be like this?
When will be the day there is peace for our world?

Walking down the Street

Walking down the street,
Watching your back,
Thinking,
Will you get your phone back.

Hiding round the corner,
Waiting like a lion,
Ready to pounce,
Think of what’s right.

Lying on the floor,
Trying to reach your door,
Hoping someone is in,
You want peace.

What has he done,
How does he feel,
Regretting he did it,
Why oh why!

Peace

Violence and harm,
That’s not what we want.
Don’t lose blood,
That’s not what we want.

Give blood,
That’s what we want.
Don’t lose blood,
That’s not what we want.

No world war three,
That’s what we want,
No conflict,
That’s what we want.

Guns shooting,
That’s not what we want.
Swords clicking,
That’s not what we want.

Peace around the World

I am the wind that makes the breeze
I am the child that brings happiness
I am the life that changes everything
I am the heart that brings peace.

I am the man who doesn’t have peace
I am the rich man who does have peace
I am a world of peace
I am the world that brings peace.

I am kindness that brings peace
I am the man that brings peace to earth
I am God that made peace
I am peace.

I dream of a world of peace
Where people enjoy
Everyone has peace
I come in peace
