Class Ten 2014/2015

Class 10 were reading autobiographies for literacy. Their task was to create their own autobiographies on various people. Below are two examples.

Michael Rosen

Michael Rosen was born on 7th May. He is an English author and he writes poems for children. He has written 140 books. He was the 5th British children’s laureate from June 2007 to June 2009. He is also a TV presenter, socialist, columnist and republican advocate. His dad Harold had met Connie Isaskosky. Harold and Connie married in 1935. Harold was a secondary teacher before becoming a professor of English for the institute of Education in London. Connie was a primary school teacher before becoming a training college lecturer. She also broadcast for the BBC, producing a programme featuring poetry, she persuaded her son to write for it and used some of the material he submitted. Their ancestors came from Poland, Russia and Romania. Rosen was raised in Pinner, Middlesex and went to various state schools in Pinner, Harrow and Watford grammar school for boys.


Christiano Ronaldo

He was born on February 5th 1985, in Portugal. Ronaldo is the youngest of four children. He was born in a large working neighbourhood, his home was a small tinned roof shack. He is 6 ft 1in tall.

It was through Ronaldo’s dad’s job as an equipment manager at a boys club that Ronaldo was introduced to football. At the early age of 16, Ronaldo played a match against Manchester United and mesmerised everyone with his fabulous technique and skills. He was so brilliant some of the other United players asked there manager to sign him. But of course soon the manager paid £12 million for Ronaldo to join Man Utd.

But soon Ronaldo got bored of the club and wanted to play elsewhere So in 2009 the Spanish Football club Real Madrid approached him. Everyone knew he couldn’t pass up an opportunity like that, so he joined Real Madrid as number 7 and played as a forward. Ronaldo also plays for his home Country Portugal.

In 2007 Ronaldo was the first footballer in England to win all four PFA awards and FWA awards. In 2008 and 2013 Ronaldo won FIFA award for best player in the world and was named FIFA world player of the year. He was also awarded the European Golden Boot in 2008, 2011 and 2014, also he was named best goal scorer in the UEFA champions league.
