Class Three 2014/2015

Road Safety

Our local PC came in to talk to all the Infants about safety on the roads and stranger danger. We learnt to stop, look and listen as well as the best places to cross our busy roads. We all discussed what to do if we ever got lost. It was a very interesting and helpful day!


Tudor Houses

Class 3 were asked to make Tudor houses as part of the work they have been doing looking at the ‘Great Fire of London’.

Christmas Unwrapped

Class 3 visited Christchurch Purley to find out about the nativity.


Animals and Humans

Class 3 have been learning about animals and humans as part of their science topic this term.

Daffodil Time!

Class 3 joined the rest of the infants in planting their bulbs ready for the London Children’s Flower Society competition again next Spring. Each child had a bulb to plant in a pot. Once potted the bulbs were placed in a dark room where they will be watered regularly. They will stay there for ten weeks before being brought out into the sunlight to grow even more.

Forest Hill Fire Station

Class 3 had the pleasure of visiting Forest Hill Fire Station. All the children had a fantastic time and learnt a lot about worklife in a fire station.

Goldilocks and the Three Bears Day

As part of our book week we had a Goldilocks and the Three Bears Themed Day. We made Bear cakes as part of our day and wrote down the instructions on how to make them.

Beebots are on the move…

In class 3 we have been working with the Beebots in our computing lessons. We are learning about directions and programming.

Houses and Homes

We have been building 3D houses as part of our Houses and Homes topic. We have been learning about the materials used to build houses and labelling parts of a house.

The Three Little Pigs

Class 3 have been reading the story of the Three Little Pigs and retelling the story. They created lots of props to help with their retellings.
